About Bob

Bobby Morock

Music has been the torch that lights the fire in my life since the young age of four when I received my first set of drums for Christmas. I pulled together my first band in my native state of Ohio at age nine and discovered my voice singing in the school choir. The 60's was primarily dominated by the sound of rock and roll until the early 70's when a friend threw me into a country gig.

To my surprise, I found my niche. I added guitar to my musical accomplishments and have been playing country music ever since. With a new enthusiasm, I tackled my first original composition, HOLIDAY EXPRESS and a remake version of Kris Kristofferson’s SUNDAY MORNING DOWN which was well received by local country radio stations. This in turn, opened the door to appear as the opening band for Grand Ole Opry star, Jack Greene.

When I relocated to California in 1990, I took with me the plan to start up another band, and thus the Sweet Country Band was established focusing on the classics.

I became a member of the Old Time Fiddlers Association and sat on the Board of Directors of the American Federation of Musicians for 12 years. And now, turning another page in my life, I am looking to the future of the re-structured Sweet Country Band with excitement and enthusiasm and feel fortunate to be working with such a great group of guys and talented musicians.
